The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Sleeping Cream Review
The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Sleeping Cream | Review
Last month, during my quest to find the perfect night cream, I was introduced to the newly launched Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Sleeping Cream by The Body Shop. If you remember, a volunteer close to our team had reviewed the amazing facial oil from Oils of Life range last year, and was highly impressed with the results. Naturally, we were quite excited to test this new launch. With winter coming up, all of us (especially those with dry skin) can do with a hydrating night cream, that can leave your skin feeling supple and well moisturised the next day. We kickstarted our test period with high expectations. Read on to know how this product fared.
What? - The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Sleeping Cream
Quantity - 80ml Price: Rs 2495
What does it promise? - A night cream that moisturises, revitalises and nourishes your skin while you sleep. Reducing the signs of ageing, you'll look visibly more rested with a supple and rejuvenated complexion. Combining 3 precious cold-pressed seed oils known for their healing properties and 7 powerful essential oils, this cushiony cream is a potent source of nutrients for your skin while you slumber. Your skin will have new vitality and life with this nourishing lotion.
Main Ingredients: Black Cumin seed oil from Egypt, Camellia seed oil from China and Rosehip seed oil from Chile – with a powerful blend of essential oils.
How to use? - Apply every evening after your facial oil or serum to revitalise your skin night after night. Massage gently onto your face, then neck and décolleté in an upward motion. Leave overnight.
Fragrance: A lot like the Oils of Life facial oil, thanks to the ingredients, of course. The essential oils create a wonderful blend. The fragrance is not very strong, but aromatic enough to put you off to sleep like a baby. Black cumin and Rosehip seed oil notes stand out.
Packaging: Very classy. The cream comes in a glass jar, which has a plastic lid in between to prevent the product from spilling. The jar can get a little heavy to carry around, so it is best suggested that you transfer the cream to a smaller jar while traveling.
Texture: Rich, smooth and silky; the texture of this sleeping cream is one of the best I have come across so far. It does not leave any grime or shine on your face, and absorbs quickly.
Experience: Very few products manage to suit my skin type and exceed expectations. But, this amazing sleeping cream by The Body Shop has fast become a favourite already. During the trial (for almost a month), our night skincare routine started off with cleansing, followed by using Oils of Life facial oil and post a five minute break, gently massaging the Oils of Life sleeping cream. You don't require too much of the product, which means the jar shall last you for a good 6 - 8 months (depending on usage). Despite the supremely rich and creamy texture, the product absorbs very well within 10 - 15 minutes and leaves a nice, subtle glow. We think the cream is perfect for individuals with both normal to dry and normal to oily skin type. It does the job of hydrating, repairing and replenishing your skin from within overnight. The next morning, you do wake up with supple skin. Your skin feels moisturised and soft, while fragrance of this cream continues to linger. Over time, you do feel the difference in your skin, as it feels replenished and less dehydrated. While we don't know about it's anti-ageing properties, it performs all the other tasks quite well. Clearly, this product meets all the promises made by the brand and of course, our expectations too. Since it's fall and winter is just around the corner, we suggest you stock up on this cream and add it to your daily night skincare routine already. Time to bid dry skin patches and same old night creams adieu. This cream is worth all your money!
Pros: Rich texture
Excellent hydrating and moisturising properties
Classy packaging
Absorbs well
Suitable for all skin types
Supports a cause
Not tested on animals
Cons: The jar is not travel friendly
Verdict: Highly recommended! It is definitely turning out to be one of our favourite products this year. Worth the price, and comes with a good shelf life. Go, buy it!

Kaya CC+ Cover Correct Complexion Perfector Cream | Review
One of Team Dancebee's favourite brands - Kaya entered the CC cream market with their new CC+ cover correct complexion perfector cream recently. With CC creams becoming a must have in almost every make up essentials kit, Kaya's CC cream aims at giving the consumer a natural glow and helps in blurring imperfections. We gave this new launch a try and after testing it for almost a month, here's what we think of this gorgeous black beauty, that promises to be packed with multiple skin benefits.
What? - Kaya CC+ Cover Correct Complexion Perfector Cream
What does it promise? - Kaya's all in one complexion perfecto cream gives you flawless glowing skin instantly by hiding imperfections. It not helps in improving the skin appearance, but also gives prolonged benefits with regular use. Some of the prominent benefits include - blurring imperfections, natural looking instant glow, brightens skin, blurs appearance of fine lines, evens skin tone, smoothens and hydrates the skin, protects from harmful UVA / UVB rays and free radicals.
Price: Rs 990 Quantity: 30ml Shelf life: 2 years from the date of MFD
How to use? - Spread the cream to throughly cleansed face and neck, like your regular moisturiser. Massage gently onto skin in an upward and outward motion.
Texture and Fragrance: The texture is very creamy, yet not too heavy or greasy. Post application, it absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves a smooth finish. For those with extremely dry skin, you can blend this cc cream with your moisturiser and get excellent results. The fragrance is subtle, like most Kaya products.
Packaging: The packaging of this product is hands down one of the best we have seen so far. The CC cream comes in a box package, where the black plastic pump bottle is housed. The pump bottle looks classy and chic. It is very light and easy to carry. The pump and plastic cap ensures that the product doesn't spill, making the bottle travel friendly and very convenient to carry around in a make up bag. Kaya has definitely nailed it in the packaging department!
Experience: We started using this product at a time when winter kept playing hide and seek. The climate was a mix of humid afternoons and breezy nights. Post cleansing, we used the CC+ complexion perfector cream with a basic moisturiser and the result was well hydrated, smooth skin. While the cream does not give you 100% coverage (so, you will have to use a concealer), it does add a natural glow that stays on for a good 4 -5 hours. We did not follow up with any compact powder, and still, the cream ensured that our face does not look patchy, stretchy or greasy. For those with combiation / oily skin, we suggest you use the CC+ cream directly, as it provides enough hydration.
Kaya's CC+ cream comes in just one standard shade, and fortunately, the shade did work well for us. Though, we are not too sure how it will look on warmer skin tones. Inclusion of SPF 25 with UVA / UVB benefits were definitely an added advantage. The packaging is definitely one of this product's biggest plus points, as it is convenient to carry and looks fancy. Just one pump is enough for one time application, so the product will last you for a good 4 - 5 months, depending on your usage. While most CC+ creams are priced in the range of Rs 300 - 600, the Kaya CC+ complexion perfector cream costs Rs 990, which might be a little on the expensive side. But if you are someone who is hunting for the right mix of hydration, natural glow, smooth skin and a very fancy bottle, look no further!
Pros: Hydrates and keeps your skin smooth
Adds a natural glow, which stays for 4 -5 hours
Evens out the skin tone very well
Comes with SPF 25, UVA / UVB benefits
Excellent Packaging
Travel friendly
Cons: Minimal coverage
A bit on the expensive side
Verdict: So far, we have always had a great experience using Kaya products and this time, it's no different! For someone who does not use foundation and would like to add a natural glow on their skin, this is certainly your best bet. Plus, it is perfect for the ongoing winter season, as it hydrates your skin well and does not leave it feeling patchy or stretchy. If you don't mind shelling out Rs 990, then the Kaya CC+ cover correct complexion perfector cream is a good investment.

Holiday Special | Top 5 Lipsticks That are Perfect for Fall / Winter
Anonymous
Saturday, October 31, 2015
Fall is all about the changing colours. Transitioning from sultry hot summers, fall is all about embracing the winds before temperatures drop(here’s hoping they do!). While many would consider them earthy tones to be this season’s situation, when it comes to those lips, fall is the perfect opportunity to break into some vibrant tones along with the basics. Here’s looking at the favourites from this fall that could be carried on to the coming winter.
Zoë's Red - L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Reds
This was my go-to color this fall season. A very berry red and just perfect for the Indian skin tone, this shade can be perfect for a 9 to 5 day and for the after hours as well.
Fine Wine - Lakme Absolute Gloss Addict Lip Color
A deep berry pink with hints of silver shimmer, this one is a stunner. I love it for the glittery part ( I love most things shiny!). The texture is smooth and about two swipes can give a subtle color, good enough for the day. The best part about this fine piece of makeup is that it is non-greasy, so the summer fall heat can seldom melt it away.
Nude Beige - Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte
Nope, this nude will not make your lips disappear into your face. A beige with a tint of pink, a spot of shine and warm undertones, this one is anything less of a typical nude boring shade. It's creamy with a hint of a raspberry scent. And the packaging is nothing short of royalty! Yup, I love this one!
Purple Passion - Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick
This one has been around for a while and is a clear winner when it comes to bold colours. Dark and berry-striden and enriched with a creamy texture, this one is worth every bit of that large hole in your wallet afterwards.
Zenith - MAC Guo Pei Collection
Save the best for the last? MAC is the reigning queen of lipstick brands and love adding a twist to their collections. Guo Pei, China’s famed haute couturier, joined hands with MAC to bring some beautiful jewel tones and rich neutrals. My favorite is the long lasting creamy nude, Zenith. Perfect for all occasions and all times of the day. And do not miss the gorgeous packaging.
While most of these lipsticks are not available in the Indian market, you can always ask your friends and relatives to get them for you during the next trip abroad. After all, you can never have enough lipsticks (not when they are winning both in the colour and packaging department).

Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa | Review
My first epilator was by Braun, a simple hand and leg epilator that I had purchased with my own money during degree college years. Waxing or creams are not really the ideal ways of hair removal for someone with sensitive skin. Though I must admit, there have been days when I couldn't spend too much time and would prefer making a stop at the salon for a quick wax session. And all hell would break loose after a few days, when red bumps would say hello and not leave until I would apply fresh aloe gel. Razors? I am not even getting there (and I haven't tried them either). So, the epilator was certainly a boon, but it did have a few setbacks. The cord would restrict my movements, the epilation modes were limited, I had to spend several minutes to make sure that my hands look clean and feel smooth, and of course, I had to ensure that there is enough light nearby.
But recently, when Braun introduced me to the all new Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa, I was told that it had a solution to all my worries and more. So, does it really have an answer to all the above mentioned problems? Read the review to find out.
What? - Braun Silk-épil 9 Skin Spa
Price: Rs 10985
What does it promise? Braun introduces Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa: the new standard of epilation excellence combined with an innovative sonic exfoliation brush. With a 40% wider head, the new Silk-épil 9 covers more area and removes more hair in one stroke for faster epilation. The MicroGrip tweezer technology introduces Braun's most innovative tweezers with an improved geometry to increase the plucking and feeding performance and gently remove more hairs in one stroke. The combination of these two features results in faster hair removal, even on the shortest hairs (0.5mm) that wax cannot catch, for up to 4 weeks of smooth skin. The exfoliation brush removes dead skin cells thanks to its massaging micro-vibrations that visibly improve skin's appearance by exfoliating it 4x better than a manual treatment alone. The Wet & Dry cordless usage allows you to use it in the bath or shower for a gentler epilation. When used regularly, epilation is virtually painless.
Packaging: The main body (with the extra wide epilation head) and the exfoliation brush are all neatly placed in the box. All the additional parts have been packed separately in a plastic bag inside the box. The kit comes with a handy manual, which has tips and step-by-step processes on how the product can be used. It also includes the warranty card.
How to use (Epilator)? - Use the epilation head and attach either the massage cap or the skin contact cap (depends on whether you are used to regular epilation or not. If you are a first time user, go with the massage cap, seen in the picture above). Select the speed, depending on the kind of epilation that you want (I for gentle and II for efficient). In case you are trying the dry usage method, make sure your skin is free from any grease or cream. If its the wet method, make sure your skin is moist. Stretch your skin and make sure that the epilation area is in close contact with your skin. Move the epilator slowly, without any pressure, against the hair (in the direction of the switch). For better results, guide the product in different directions, as the hair growth may differ. The manual includes points on how the product can be used with other parts, for a complete hair-free experience.
Epilation Tips: ☻ It is advisable that you epilate a day before an important event / meeting. This ensures that you have enough time to let any possible post-epilation reddening subside.
☻ Make sure that you follow up with a good moisturiser or aloe gel after the epilation.
☻ If the hair length is long, it is advisable that you first shave and then, let your hair grow back to at least 0.5mm.
☻ If you are using the shaver head attachment (image given below), make sure it is done only on dry skin.
Overall Experience: Fuss-free and absolutely painless! That's how I can describe my trial. The subsequent trials helped in adjusting to the product and over time, the process became a super fast way to get rid of unwanted hair. I always opt for the wet usage method and the fact that this epilator is cordless and safe to use in the shower is the biggest boon. I use the exfoliation process at least a few days (mostly a week) before the epilation, to ensure that the dead skin cells are gone. I tried the exfoliation brush with my new favourite - The Body Shop's Fuji Green Tea Scrub and the result was supremely smooth skin. The exfoliation helped, as the epilation that was followed a few days later ensured that there are no in-growths left. I am yet to test facial epilation and so, the moment I try it, the experience shall be posted on our social media handles. So far, I am satisfied with the way it has treated my skin - no irritation, pain or damage. Plus, the fact that it is so handy and quick to use is a big win, especially keeping the kind of lifestyle that we live in mind. The smart light is saviour, as it helps you keep a tab on every strand of hair, no matter how big or small. The exfoliation brush makes it the perfect skin spa and is one of the highlights of this kit. The kit is travel friendly, with the main product, additional parts and exfoliation brush hardly weighing a few grams. The Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa is everything that you need for a complete hair-free experience, that is painless and absolutely convenient.
Pros: travel friendly
multiple benefits
quick process
smartlight
easy wet usage method of epilation
excellent exfoliation
cordless
well priced (keeping in mind the amount one ends up paying for every wax session or hair removal cream tube)
Available in different colours (including pink)
Cons: None so far!
Verdict: To sum it up, the Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa is a must have for every woman on the go. Try getting used to his hassle-free epilation process, you will get your weekly bi-monthly wax appointments.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub Review
Top Beauty Blogger
The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub | Review
It's rare for someone like me (with sensitive skin) to come across a scrub that is not just gentle, but also extremely hydrating. So far, I have always stayed away from trying body scrubs, because they often lead to de-hydrated, dry skin. And when The Body Shop recently launched their all new Fuji Green Tea collection and sent us products from the range, I thought I'll give the scrub a miss. But while checking out the texture of each product, I was quite impressed with this scrub and curious to know if it will change my perception. Curious that I am, I decided to take a risk and test The Body Shop's Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub. The result (and honest opinion) - I am hooked, and how!
What? - The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub
Quantity: 250ml
Price: Rs 1295
What does it promise? The product perfect for cleansing and exfoliating, the crisp and refreshing scent of Fuji Green Tea™ Body Scrub helps to lift away dead skin cells, detox the body, and prepare skin for moisture. The Green Tea range of products helps in lifting away dead skin cells. Infused with replenishing green tea from Japan, which helps you get healthy looking skin. Enriched with Community Fair Trade Honey from Ethiopia.
How to use? - Use a spatula or spoon to get the required amount of product in your hand (I prefer using it this way, as it does not waste any product and this process is hygienic). Apply to damp skin in a circular motion, then rinse thoroughly for refreshingly smooth skin. For best results, use two to three times a week.
Packaging: A sturdy plastic jar, which is transparent (and cute). The product is easily visible through this jar, so you can keep a tab on the amount that you are using. The metallic cap fits well and ensures that the product does not spill. Safe to carry while traveling.
Texture: Smooth, gel based scrub with micro-granules. The granules are not harsh and the product is extremely light weight.

Overall Experience: This is exactly what I was looking for! A light weight, gentle scrub that does its job well, without drying your skin out. Right from the delightful fragrance to the texture, packaging and introducing a refreshing ingredient like the Fuji Green Tea, The Body Shop has nailed it in every department. The product starts working the moment you start massaging it on your body in the shower. Within minutes, you start feeling relaxed, hydrated and squeaky clean; all this, right after the first use! 2-3 trials later, I was in love. I noticed that the scrub helped in exfoliating and ensuring that my skin remains soft, while getting rid of the dead cells (this is where the gel + micro-granules formula comes to the rescue) and even some pesky in-growths. What’s also amazing is the fact that a little product goes a really long way, which means, the jar will last you for a good 6-7 months, depending on the way you use it. Honestly, using this scrub feels like a trip to the spa. And the best part? It works well on all skin types. One of our team members, who has oily skin, tried the scrub and made a trip to the TBS store to pick up her own jar. Now you know what I mean by getting hooked on, right?
Pros: Delightful fragrance
Refreshing mix of ingredients
Gentle texture
Works well on all skin types
Well priced for a 250ml jar
Cons: None
Verdict: The Body Shop's Fuji Green Tea Scrub has fast become one of my favourite skincare products. I am totally stocking up on this, and so should you!

Za Perfect Solutions Youth Whitening Serum Review
Za Perfect Solutions Youth Whitening Serum | Review
Za India from the house of Shiseido, is constantly working on new innovations in skincare, keeping every target audience and age group in mind. While we were impressed with some of their White Perfect range products, Za recently introduced us to a new product from their Perfect Solutions range (a high performance anti-aging skincare line). This miracle product is called the Za Perfect Solutions Youth Whitening Serum, which was launched in the Indian market earlier this month. Since the product is suitable for a certain age group (and focuses on skin issues faced by them) and I don't belong to that age bracket (nor does my team), we decided to get someone on board who could test the product for us (for a fortnight) and tell us about their experience. Our test participant was team member Dhwanika's 31 - year - old cousin sister (name withheld on request), who readily agreed to help us out by trying the product for a month and talking about her experience.
What? - Za Perfect Solutions Youth Whitening Serum
Quantity: 30ml
Price: Rs 1299/-
What does it promise? With Revolutionary Retino-White Complex, this Powerful Serum delivers unmatched Radiance and retains Youthful Luminosity in just 7 days. Retinol Derivative reduces visible wrinkles caused by UV damage and aging, while its Breakthrough Intensive Triangle Technology improves skin’s resilience & clarity. It dramatically reduces excess melanin and signs of aging giving Radiant, Youthful & Perfect Skin.
Packaging: This tiny, classy bottle with a pump looks absolutely beautiful. The pink cap adds a unique charm to this bottle, making it look stylish. The bottle is sturdy and can be carried during travel without any issues. Since the cap fits well and the pump ensures that the product doesn't spill, one doesn't have to worry about any mess. Plus, thanks to the pump, you can be assured that you get the right amount of product for use and it doesn't go waste.
How to use? Apply morning and evening, after lotion and before moisturizer.
Push pump twice to dispense serum onto palm and smooth over face.
Texture: The product is slightly runny and the texture is extremely light. Once applied, one can feel how the product does not make your skin feel greasy or heavy. In fact, it is almost like plain water and my skin absorbs (or drinks) it up quickly, leaving my skin hydrated and nourished. Since June was a month mixed with humid (day) and slightly cold (evening) days, I skipped my moisturizer during the day, as this serum pretty much did the job (especially since I have oily skin). Maybe for those with extremely dry skin, you can use this with your regular CTM regime. I loved how the product left a dewy finish.
Overall experience: I started off by using this product at night and gradually (by the fifth day of use) began using it in the day as well. I don't really face too many skin issues, but the main concern has always been a few dark spots and uneven skin tone. I have always been a believer of the fact that products take their own sweet time to show results. I gave this product some time and the first thing I noticed was that my skin didn't feel greasy or heavy while using this product, which was a boon. Another aspect that impressed me was how post my night skin routine, my face looked fresh and radiant in the morning, just after a plain water wash. After 20 days of regular use, I noticed how it had started working on making the dark spots look lighter and slightly improved the appearance of my skin tone, especially the jawline and cheek area. While most serums would cause a huge dent in my pocket, this one does a brilliant job at less price. Although everything works in the product works and I swear by it now, I was a little disappointed when informed about the alcohol content. Hope team Za works on doing something about it. Otherwise, the Za perfect solution youth whitening serum has definitely got a fan in me.
Pros: Classy packaging
Light weight, non-greasy texture
Works well as an overnight serum
Adds a radiant, fresh glow to your skin in the morning
Priced well
Works on dark spots
Cons: High alcohol content
Verdict: If you don't have any allergies or issues with the alcohol in this product, then it should definitely make its way into your skincare regime. I am hooked on!

The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream
Review | The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream
I have been on the look out for a good Eye cream since quite sometime. All the work load last year took a major toll on my health and later, less sleep caused puffy eyes. While a member of Team Dancebee suggested that I try the Forrest Essentials eye cream (since she swears by it), I came across the newly launched Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening eye cream by The Body Shop and decided to give it a try. Since my major concerns were puffy eyes and signs of fatigue (which this product promises to heal), I thought this eye cream would be a good choice. After using the product for a month, here's what I felt about it.
Product name: The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream
Price: Rs 2295
Quantity: 15ml
What the product promises: The dual action brightening eye cream promises to brighten the eye area, improve the darkened skin and reduce the appearance of the signs of fatigue. After regular application, the skin around eye area feels fresher and smoother.
Key ingredients: Shiso extract and community fair trade aloe
How to use: Take a small quantity of the cream on the micro-circulating massager and massage the product around the eye area.
Texture: The eye cream is very smooth and does not feel sticky. Just a little bit of the cream is required and hence, the product will go a long way.
Our experience: Products like eye creams don't work like magic wands. You need to give it sometime before you can actually see the result. Fortunately, The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream starting doing its job on the first day itself. After massaging the product, the eye area felt hydrated and very relaxed. Well, that is exactly what you need after a long day of work. I noticed how the product began reducing the puffyness below my eyes after using it daily for a week. After a fortnight, my eyes looked less puffy and a small dry patch above my right eye had completely vanished. While I cannot comment on how this product works on dark circles, it definitely worked on healing the issues that I was dealing with. I have continued using this product and so far, I have been quite happy. The packaging is great and very travel friendly. The massager is perfect and much needed. I also love the creamy texture and mild fragrance of this product.
Pros: - Good packaging
- Love the inclusion of a massager
- Smooth texture and mild fragrance
- Delivers as per promise
- Shelf life of three years
- Not tested on animals
Cons: None
Verdict: For a product that delivers according to what it has promised, I will definitely vouch for this eye cream. It provides the perfect hydration and care that a good eye cream needs. The massager deserves bonus points, since just a few seconds of massage leaves my eye area feeling relaxed. The texture is not very heavy and is perfect for all skin types (and all seasons too). Since most eye creams are in a higher price bracket, this product is well priced. The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream is worth every penny and is highly recommended by us.

Sometimes, choosing the right foundation can be quite a task. People often opt for the wrong shade or type, and worse, order such products online, despite knowing that a foundation needs to be tested properly before application. If you pick a shade that does not match your complexion, everything goes horribly wrong. So among the sea of foundations that we have in the market today, we got our hands on 2015's new baby - the Za True White Liquid Foundation. While we reviewed (and liked) their compact foundation earlier here, we thought of testing the liquid range to find out if it stands by what it promises.
What it promises? - Radiance and Clarity. The Spotless Brightening Powder and Poreless Powder create Pearly White Skin. Za True White Plus Liquid Foundation contains Vitamins C & E derivatives, minerals and hyaluronic acid for skincare. Its base formula leaves skin feeling satiny, smooth and bright. Tested by dermatologists.
Product highlight: Contains SPF 25 PA++
Application: Apply an appropriate amount over face, while spreading evenly from the center of face and turning outwards.
Additional Instructions (As mentioned on the product): Reducing the amount of application will lower the level of protection significantly. This foundation is recommended for use with products that contain UV protection of SPF 15 or higher.
Price & Shelf life: Rs 950 for 30ml. Lasts for three years from the date of MFG.
What works?
Texture - The texture of this product is creamy, yet this liquid foundation is very light and smooth. It does not feel too heavy and blends quite well into your skin (provided you choose the right shade). Once applied, you will notice how the product does not leave any dry patches (Golden tip: always make sure you moisturize your face before applying any kind of foundation).
Shade availability - They have great options to choose from and the shades have been chosen keeping in mind the warm Indian complexion. While there are five shades to choose from for those with yellowish undertones, there is one - PO 10 - for those with pink undertones. So, there is something for everyone.
Coverage & Protection: Those who are looking to hide their dark circles or a few marks here and there, this product is exactly what you need. It gives you perfect coverage, without making it look like you are actually wearing something on your face. The sun protection is a great add on. SPF 25 PA++ and the texture makes this foundation good enough to wear everyday.
Blends well: The product does not leave a cakey or matte effect. Rather, it moisturizes your facial skin really well and leaves a soft, smooth and dewy finish, which is absolutely amazing. For someone with dry to combination skin, you can try the Za True White Liquid Foundation without thinking twice. It really worked well for me.
What doesn't?
Glass bottle - Despite the pretty packaging and the convenient pump dispenser, carrying a glass bottle around in your bag can be a problem, especially while traveling.
Oily skin woes - If you are someone who has oily skin or a T-zone with patches of oily skin on the forehead, nose and chin, then you might need a compact to go with this product.
Lasting power: Though it lasts for a good 4-6 hours on dry to combination skin, it may go down by a few hours for those with oily skin type.
Availability - Za products are currently available at select stores and retail outlets. This was my concern while testing the compact foundation as well.
Final Verdict
For all those pros that overpower the cons, the Za True White Liquid Foundation is undoubtedly a good investment. Its gives you a flawless, dewy finish and the texture is perfect. We love how this product blends well and does not make one feel like a kilo full of make up has been slathered on. Not really your best bet if you have got oily skin, but otherwise, this is one great liquid foundation available under Rs 1000.
