Diljit Dosanjh’s Met Gala 2025 Debut: Sikh Royalty Meets Black Dandyism in a Stunning Prabal Gurung Look
Making history with his debut at the Met Gala 2025, Diljit Dosanjh turned heads and stole the spotlight with a look that was nothing short of iconic. Rooted in the elegance of Sikh royalty, his ensemble celebrated the opulence of Indian heritage while effortlessly blending in contemporary fashion cues.
More than just a tribute to heritage, Diljit’s look was a flawless embodiment of the Met Gala 2025 theme: Black Dandyism. The theme, celebrating self-expression, elegance, and subversion through hyper-stylized menswear, found a powerful echo in Diljit’s ensemble. With bold layering, intricate embroidery, and an elevated sense of masculinity, his look brought together tradition and modernity in a way that felt both personal and culturally resonant.
This was not just a fashion moment—it was a bold statement. A synergy of East meets West, vintage meets modern, and royalty meets runway. Diljit didn’t just dress for the Met Gala; he owned it.
It’s no surprise that his debut is already being hailed as one of the night’s most talked-about looks. What’s not to love? With impeccable style, cultural pride, and thematic precision, Diljit Dosanjh delivered a red carpet moment for the ages.
Deepika Padukone's old world Hollywood glam at Oscars 2023 is a winner!
Global domination, clearly done in style. As India created history with two memorable wins at the 95th academy awards; Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone made heads turn and created a 'wow' moment for every Indian as one of the official presenters at Oscars 2023 - making her the third Indian to be invited as a presenter at the event. Amidst applause and cheers, Padukone gracefully walked towards the stage and introduced the highly anticipated 'Naatu Naatu' (RRR) performance, along with the nomination for Best Original Song.
However, fashion enthusiasts and fans across the globe were curious to know more about Padukone's outfit choice for the big Academy Awards night, where she would be seen making her red carpet debut. Needless to say, she decided to slay it and how!
Dressed in a custom Louis Vuitton long black off-shoulder velvet dress, with a stunning mermaid silhouette; Padukone smiled and waved, while posing for the paparazzi. The outfit exuded old world elegance and charm, along with a vintage Hollywood glam makeup touch - complete with a cat winged liner, sharp cheekbones and nude-pink matte lips. A pair of velvet gloves were the perfect addition. The statement Cartier necklace with matching bracelet and ring made Queen DP shine bright like a diamond, indeed. Of course, we all know that Padukone is the global ambassador for both LV and Cartier.

During a red carpet Q&A, Padukone humbly mentioned that 'she is trying her best to take it all in and soak in the experience', and added that she believes that the supremacy of RRR's Naatu Natal at the academy awards is 'just the tip of the iceberg'. She believes there is a lot more in store for Indian cinema on the global map. Well, we definitely agree and cannot stop raving about how Padukone continues with her contribution towards making India proud.
What are your thoughts on Deepika Padukone's historic debut as a presenter at the Oscars?

The #DancebeeFashion Pick: Sonam Kapoor Ahuja in a powerful tuxedo, painting the red carpet with massive boss babe vibes? Yes, please! The actress reserved her best look for the last appearance at Cannes 2019, as she ditched the good ol' gown and stepped out looking like a goddamn boss in a custom Ralph & Russo tuxedo. Of course, the detailing won our hearts, as the overskirt attached to the jacket oozed drama and charm all over. Statement jewellery upped the glam quotient, as the actress picked a stunning diamond and 155 carat Columbian emerald encrusted necklace to go with the look, paired with drop down earrings (both by Chopard). We absolutely loved how she made a statement with glossy nude lips and bold eyes - complete with lots of kohl, eyeliner, and layers of mascara. In the hair department, she kept the look sleek with a tight bun. A pair of white pointed-toe heels by Jimmy Choo completed this picture perfect look. Hands down our favourite look sported by the pretty actress. Truly, a class apart!

Kudos to the Kapoor sisters - Sonam and Rhea, for dishing out such impeccable looks, and forever changing the way we look at fashion.
