Sunny Days | Outfit Post
The most difficult thing after a holiday is to get back to work in full force. The holiday hangover stays on for quite a few days. For someone who is juggling multiple roles, I rarely get a chance to take time off and enjoy a peaceful holiday. But once a year (or twice, if I am lucky) I make sure that a few days are reserved for some 'me' time and then, with the family too. A break is essential, not just for relaxation, but to also divert one's mind off continuous work, deadlines and stress. Personally, I prefer traveling during the Sunny summer days, especially if the destination has beaches. And this time, I had planned a trip to Goa well in advance (and merged it with a week long tour of Konkan). While I was a little skeptical about traveling after the accident, I thought of giving it a go on second thoughts. After all the trauma and sleepless nights, a quiet and peaceful holiday was just what I needed. The Konkan Tour was all that and so much more.
Though the idea of getting a tan is not really my thing, I love walking around, soaking in the sun, gorging on local delicacies and capturing picturesque moments. While packing my bag for such sunny trips, I always make sure that I pack 5 essentials - Dresses, shorts, lots of comfortable tees, swim wear (or a monokini, as you like) and a hat. The new addition to my essentials is a romper, which is super comfortable for a relaxed day, reserved for long strolls on the beach. Head to Forever 21 if you are looking for floral or striped rompers in less than Rs 1500. I picked up a few during my last visit and got a great discount.
Coming back to the Konkan tour, it sure was a great one. While the virgin beaches and temples of Ratnagiri kept me hooked on, my time in Goa was spent lazying around at the stunning new boutique hotel - Acron Waterfront Resort. You can see a few glimpses of the breath taking view in this post. I wore this outfit to the Easter Sunday brunch that was organised on the second day of our stay. Good food, a summer happy outfit, fabulous music and great company in the form of my team member and a super sweet hotel staff; what more can anyone ask for?
Situated on the banks of the picturesque Baga river and just a few minutes away from the party scenes of Baga and Anjuna, Acron Waterfront Resort is a beautiful property that consists of 29 villa style rooms. Early this month, I was invited by the wonderful folks to spend my Holiday in Goa at Acron and well, I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. It was everything that I wanted this holiday to be and guess what? I have got a detailed review of the stunning property, along with a food review of Cyrus Todiwala's The River Restaurant and some Vlogs coming up for you this fortnight. If you are planning a trip to Goa this May, then you shouldn't miss the series of travel posts for anything!

FCUK Spring/Summer collection 2013
This weekend, I was invited to check out the latest collection at FCUK. If I had to describe the collection in three words, it would be: Fresh, Summery, and Bright. They have something for everyone, and it is one of the few labels that has managed to maintain a perfect blend of trends and comfort. I was impressed to see striped dresses and T-shirts in a variety of colors (and not just B&W), neon and pastel Tees, shorts in bold colors among other interesting apparel and accessories.

International Dance Day | Summer Look with Lavie
I have always said this, time and again. Dance is not just an art form, but a way of life. When I dance, I dream with my feet. It is a priceless gift given to me by god, which has become an integral part of my life. I cannot thank the almighty enough for this talent. People who know me will tell you how much I respect, worship, and love dance. I am sure the blog's name says a lot about that.
Happy International Dance Day to all the readers, dance lovers and amazing folks across the globe.
Now, let's take a look at what this post has in store for you (apart from my love for dance, of course).
Lavie recently launched their new range of handbags, and asked some popular fashion bloggers to create a 'Summer Special' look. I wanted to create multiple looks, as it was tough to choose just one bag from their fabulous range. But ultimately, I decided to create one outfit, which includes some of my favorite trends and colors for summer 2013.It is something that anyone, from any age group can carry off with panache.
A simple, yet sophisticated outfit with a touch of bold red to add some drama.
As we all know, stripes are big this season. But instead of making it look boring by pairing this D&G striped flare dress with either white or black, I decided to add some color. What better than a color like red, right? Lavie's Country medium satchel looks amazing with the Louboutin red peep toes (I know that not everyone might own a pair of louboutins, but what the heck! You can always replace it with any good pair of red peep toes). Matte lipsticks have replaced all those old school glosses and shiny lipsticks. Hence, MAC's Ruby woo is just what you need to complete the look. And yes! Don't forget to carry these stunning Prada minimal baroque sunglasses, to save yourself from the scorching heat.
Now that you are ready to go out and shine like a star in this outfit,
take time out and try doing a jig or two today.
All for the love of dance!
Love,
The Dancebee
