Current Favourite Skincare Products | The Dancebee Guide | Beauty

 Here’s presenting ‘The Dancebee Guide’ - a list of my favourite, tried and tested items and products, ranging from Skincare to Books, Make up and more. A new guide coming up every week on the blog. Starting off the first guide with a bunch of my current favourite skincare products - most of which I have used for more than 6-8 months. It includes a mix of purchased products as well as some that were received in PR - but, the experience and feedback is 100% genuine and honest. So, here we go with the current most loved skincare items - Tried, tested and loved by Dancebee!


Pixi Beauty pHenomenal Gel 

Price: Rs 2250

A soothing gel based moisturiser, which nourishes your skin. Very gentle and hydrating. This is my fourth tube (only the first one was gifted), and I absolutely love the gentle ingredients (Hello, aloe). A bit on the pricier side, but absolutely worth every penny!


Clinique Moisture Surge Intense

Price: Rs 1800 onwards (for 30ml)

This texture of this moisturiser is so nice and rich, yet it does not feel too heavy - a major win for summer. Plus, it keeps my skin supple and hydrated for a good number of hours. 


Bioderma Atoderm Creme

Price: Rs 599

Bioderma Atoderm Crème is a real boon for someone like me - with sensitive skin, that turns way too dry during winter. In fact, it’s great for summer too, as the texture is not too heavy. 


Innisfree Aloe Vera Revital Soothing Gel

Price: Rs 550

I carry this soothing aloe gel with me, everywhere (smaller tube for travel)! I use this as a moisturiser first thing in the morning, and quite handy for a host of skin problems (especially sun burn during the summer season)


Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion For Sensitive Skin

Price: Rs 1170

If there is any body lotion I trust (apart from the Sebamed hydrating body lotion), it's this one! A little product goes a long way. Love this for sensitive areas that get super dry and flaky (plus, my skin turns red during seasonal changes). A little on the pricier side, but the 350ml pump bottle definitely lasts quite long.

Best Nude Lipsticks for Indian Skin Tones

So, I recently went shopping for a new lipstick, considering my vanity is packed with lippies in shades of red and pink. I've been on the hunt for a perfect nude lipstick, that matches my skin tone and is subtle enough for strictly formal meetings, workshops among others. I shortlisted a few favourites, before trying them out at the store and finally zeroed in on the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in 62 (Libre). It's a wonderful natural nude for my lips, and despite the matte formula, keeps your lips surprisingly hydrated (thanks to the key ingredients - Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter).


However, there is a nude lipstick made for every skin tone and blindly going in for something that suits a celebrity or your favourite MUA isn't always the right thing to do. We pick some of the hottest nude lipsticks available for Indian skin tones. After all, someone (in this case, a lipstick) somewhere is always made for you!

Why do we love it? - The perfect nude that is very subtle and easy to carry with almost any look.

Why do we love it? - Provides a velvety finish that lasts almost 8-9 hours. The primer ensures your lips stay smooth. Perfect for that barely there look.

Why do we love it? -  This one has been the best nude shade from the house of MAC, suitable for almost every Indian skin tone.  Great texture and colour.

Why do we love it? -  If you have been looking for a good daily office wear lipstick, then look no further. This is perfect for anyone with medium - olive skin tone. Good texture.

Masaba meets Clinique! Gosh, what more could you ask for? The moment this collaboration was announced in April, beauty freaks across the country went crazy talking about it on social media. The limited edition range, inspired by Masaba's SS 2015 candy-themed collection showcased at Lakme Fashion Week S/R earlier this year, includes pop up lip colors and a colorful make up bag called 'Sugar Plum'. We have got our eyes on this newly launched advanced epilator since quite sometime and will be reviewing it soon. The Philips Satinelle Advanced Epilator looks like the perfect product that every girl needs this monsoon (and almost every season, honestly). The product promises to provide long lasting smoothness, while gently removing hair from the root, and that too, as short as 0.5mm. It also promises that the hair will grow back thinner and slowly, leaving you with up to 4 weeks of hair-free skin. Sounds great!

Who doesn't like to make a splash in the water or dance in the rain? With monsoon coming up, stock up on these cute Glitter Jelly shoes. Must Hear & Watch - Hamari Adhuri Kahani
Trust Mohit Suri to wow us with melodious tracks with every film. Be it Zeher or Ek Villain, the director is known to create magic with music in all his films. The music album of his latest offering, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, is no different. Team Dancebee has added all the delightful songs from HAK to our respective iPods and we can't listening to the entire album on loop.
