Independence Day contest with India Circus
The headline itself might have got you excited, right? But, before everything else, here's wishing my beloved country and the fellow country women and men a very Happy Independence Day. Personally, I have never been the type of a person who wakes up to pay a tribute to the martyrs only once a year. It is because of their sacrifice that we have been living a good life. So instead of cribbing about the general lifestyle of this country, spare a minute and think about the army men, who step out to protect our country without thinking twice. Lots of respect and a big salute to all our Jawans out there!
And now, coming to the contest. Diary of a Dancebee is proud to associate with one of India's most amazing and reputed designers, Krsna Mehta, and his brand India Circus, for an Independence Day contest on the blog. It's the perfect collaboration, because the brand, known for its quirky products, proudly flaunts the country's name too. Wanna participate and win a product from their new collection? Read on.

Summer Fiesta
Summer Fiesta with Nivea India contest
It's time to go sleeveless! Well, I am not giving you cliche advice that summer is here and this weather is making you dump all your full sleeve t-shirts and blouses in some corner of your wardrobe (which is true, but still). But Nivea India's whitening deo is giving you the chance to step out and show off your best sleeveless outfits, without worrying about your underarms.
No one here is promising you super white underarms overnight. But this product will prevent your underarm skin area from further darkening, while controlling perspiration and leaving your with a refreshing fragrance. All this, while working on giving you even toned underarms and that too, without any irritation (0% alcohol, duh!). How do I know? Well, I have tested this product for two weeks and since my skin is super sensitive, Nivea whitening deodorant came like a miracle product. Stays on for several hours and doesn't make your skin feel too sticky.
Sounds good, right? Well, Diary of a Dancebee has collaborated with Nivea India for a fun, month long contest called 'Summer Fiesta With Nivea India' and four lucky winners stand to win exciting prizes.

Say Yes To Colour
L'Oreal Paris India - Say Yes to Colour Contest
First of all, a big thank you to my readers who messaged on Facebook and mailed me to say how much they miss my blog posts. Honestly, it is your love and support that gives me the strength to come back and work on the posts, even after a 12 hour long day. Some of you said that the 'We Love, We Loathe' feature should be brought back, while some of you miss the outfit posts. All I can say is, many more fun posts and new features are going to come your way very soon. Plus, some new, exciting things are in store for you.
As a 'Thank you' prezzie (for co-operating with my MIA status most of the times), L'Oreal Paris and Diary of a Dancebee have collaborated for a contest, where one winner stands a chance to win a pack of 'Casting Crème Gloss'. If you have noticed, L'Oeal Paris has come up with a fantastic pledge, "Say Yes to Colour," which aims at throwing 'boring greys' out and adding some 'colour' to your life.

Instagram-ming!
I joined the 'Instagram' bandwagon a few months ago and I must say, it's good fun. It's like a mini glimpse into my life through pictures (which I believe speak louder than words). Books I'm reading right now, stuff I buy and sometimes, just simple random stuff.
I got these books from Crossword last week. I am a huge fan of Marquez and loved his book 'Love in the time of cholera'. Hence, I decided to buy 'One hundred years of solitude'. The title of the other book in this picture, 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai', was interesting enough for me to buy it (and as I have started reading it, I can tell you it surely is). I've managed to catch up on some 'Magazine reading time', which I really love.
On my last trip to Infinity Mall (Malad), I finally managed to check out the products at Kiehl's. Their staff is super sweet (especially the two people, Shahzad and Deepti, who helped me out) and made me go through their entire 'skin analysis' process before buying anything. They suggested a couple of products and gave me samples of the same, to check if it suits my skin. Must say, I love the toner and the sunscreen. I got the Kiehl's cranberry lip balm #1 for myself and oh boy! I'm loving it.
The HUL team sent this to us last week. I'm loving the Keratinology range and the Spa mask is too good. The Sunsilk Keratinology range has advanced products for intense repair and coloured hair. I use the mask once a week and you guys can definitely take my word for it. Its really good!
I've always been a 'Bus' person. For five years, I travelled to college in a bus because I never felt the need to keep changing my mode of transport. But my new college is a little far and train travelling makes things easier. Although I end up travelling by Central or Harbour line from college to home, this one was clicked from the train on the Western line when I wanted to get down at Lower Parel for some work. So many things have changed, but these platforms just don't! Before coming up with new modes of transport, can the railways please do something about the state of their platforms, please?
Well, these were a couple of pictures that I uploaded on Instagram!
