A/W '15 Favourites | Emporio Armani Eyewear
At a recent press preview organised by the awesome folks at Luxottica, I was quite impressed by some stunning new pieces launched by eye wear brands, including Emporio Armani, Prada, Versace among others. To start off our obsession, here are some of our favorite, lust worthy pieces from Emporio Armani's A/W 14-15 collection, straight off the runway, which celebrates Modern Balance, with unisex features and some formal elegance. While most pieces rock the minimalist trend, those looking for some sophisticated bling will also find some 'eye-candy' here.
1. Men's EA 2027
This stunning pair of metal sunglasses come in minimalist designs and an elegant contrast of colors. There is a two-tone contrasting mix of hues on the front edges. which looks very sexy. This beauty is available in two shades - black and gold with brown or burgundy lenses, or in a gunmetal color with brown lenses. Wear it with an army print or the good ol' leather jacket, and you are ready to be the center of attraction.
2. Women's EA 4040 Bejeweled
The large mother of pearl placed on both sides of the frames will add some opulence and sophistication to even a dull outfit. Chic, feminine and absolutely charming, this bejeweled pair also comes in another option, with pastel shades on the front and black temples, adding a contrast. Available pastel shades include opal white and opal light blue. Definitely a must have if you have a thing for pearls or just want the perfect pair of sunglasses for your lace or vintage print dresses.
3. Women's EA 4039
This gorgeous beauty comes with double bridge frames, acetate temples and a stunning front with havana hues. This is the perfect example of comfort meets style and safety, as the polarized lenses of this beauty provide 100 per cent protection. Enough to spruce up your formal apparel, this range by Emporio Armani comes in three varieties - black and havana with brown polarized lenses, dove grey and havana with brown polarized lenses, purple and havana with purple polarized lenses.
4. Men's EA 4034
Who doesn't love a stylish pair of reflective sunglasses with matte frames? Boys, you have got some serious variety to choose from in this range. The linear profile of this beauty is light, flexible and we love its distinctly square design. The colors in this are inspired by the Emporio Armani Men’s Autumn/Winter 2014/2015 collection. The available options include matte burgundy with grey lens, matte grey with grey mirrored lens, and matte blue with blue mirrored lens.
and now, for those who can't get enough of stylish opticle frames.
5. Women's EA 3040
This sophisticated pair of women’s optical frames are just what you need, in order those replace those boring metal frames. With elegant lines, optical textures, fine details and tortoise shell designs on the side, this frame spells class. They come in double layer acetate with a blend of havana and bright complementary colors, on both the temple and the front. These optic frames are available in three options, including black and havana, olive green and havana, purple and havana.

Top 5 picks from Accessorize A/W 2014
Rich berry tones, classy tans, parisian prints and a dash of metallic drama; one can't help but go gaga over the eye catching items available at Accessorize India. During a recent exclusive preview, we got a chance to feast our eyes on some stylish satchels, bag packs and trendy jewellery items among other things. What stood out for us were the prints and hues used in each of their five collections for the ongoing Autumn/Winter 2014 season. They were not your usual blacks and reds. Accessorize has dared to go all out with oxblood, brown, navy blue and even pop tints like pink.
From an array of items that we loved, here's presenting our top five picks, that must make their way into your wishlist (and later the wardrobe) now!
1. The PU Navy Blue college bag
This spacious and stylish backpack is all you need to store your essentials on a long day out. This has to be our favourite. It fits in our iPad, camera and make-up essentials, all in one. Also, the shoulder straps are super comfortable.
2. The Sofia handheld bag
Quite a sophisticated handbag, this one. The oxblood meets gold elements instantly caught our attention. The push lock clasp with gold detailing is oh-so-classy!
3. The Winter floral satchel
What's not to love here,eh? Right from the roomy compartments (quite spacious for a satchel) to the lovely floral print and finally, a touch of gold in those buckles. This one is a complete win-win.
4. Cara fedora hat (two colours)
What's a perfect wardrobe without some pretty hats? These gorgeous fedora hats are just what you need to pair with your dress or a lovely winter outfit comprising of a skirt, jumper, coat and a pair of comfortable boots. Winter ready, are we? Hell Yeah!
5. The Embellished clutch
Your go-to accessory for the upcoming festive season, be it a Diwali get together or marriage. This just the right amount of bling that you need to add. Notice the floral detailing, with white, lilac and a host of other coloured stones? We think it is super cool.
Check out some of our other favourites.
As they say, a girl can never have enough favourite bags. Alright then!
The new collection is available at all Accessorize India stores.

On a floral trail | Marks & Spencer
"A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in - what more could she ask? A few flowers at her feet and above her, the stars." - Les Misérables (Yes! I tweaked it a little).
The last couple of days have given me a chance to get back to something I love the most - dreaming. When you learn to let go of things and give your dreams a chance, you realise that the going may be a tough one, but it is certainly not impossible. Everything is possible with the perfect blend of hard work, talent, blessings and oodles of patience. Surrounding yourself with things you love is another trick. If you are happy from within, nothing can stop you from achieving your goals.
All things floral is one such thing that makes me smile. And recently, when Marks and Spencer India invited me to put together a look (with my readers) keeping the floral theme in mind, I just couldn't say no. Adding the perfect touch to my happiness was the place where we got this photo shoot done.
Although I had my doubts about how and what the participants will pick for me on Twitter and Facebook, I was mighty impressed with the fashionistas who not only upped the ante with their trendy choices, but also took a step ahead towards winning the Marks and Spencer India #PerfectedByYou contest. After posting photographs of stuff that I couldn't take my eyes off, this outfit turned out to be the unanimous winner. With just the right amount of bling, a touch of oxblood and a gorgeous floral print, I couldn't have asked for more.
While browsing through the vast and absolutely beautiful A/W 2014 collection at the Marks and Spencer India store in Bandra, one can see how the brand has got the right mix of comfort and style. Each section, be it the Autograph or Limited Edition collection, had a dominant print and color, which helped set it apart from the other. Autumn is not only about dark hues, so there is something for everyone at M&S. The comfy wraps, well fitted pencil skirts, blousons in different prints, trench coats in lovely colours and of course, my favorite, the super comfortable sweat shirts and knit cardigans, were all so 'take home' worthy. Among the accessories and shoes, I fell in love with a pair of heeled sneakers. Full marks to M&S for offering such a huge variety of apparel and accessories, which is not only high on the fashion quotient, but quite affordable as well.

Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 | Outfit Post
A day at the fashion week means choosing the perfect outfit that is not only comfortable (which always tops my priority, since spending long hours hopping from one show to the other is not a joke) but also shows off your style statement. The style that defines your personality. It is very easy to ape people, but standing out of the crowd and making a statement (while being comfortable at the same) ain't an easy task. Over the years, I have understood that while I love experimenting with trends and I am definitely more open to trying different prints and silhouettes, but there are some things which will always be a staple choice. My love for a red lipstick (MAC Ruby Woo to be precise) is just one of them, while pairing shades of blue with white is another. It just reminds me of the infinite sky above us.
Speaking of comfort, what really took the cake this season was the fantastic arrangement made at the Palladium hotel (venue for this year's Lakme Fashion Week) through an exclusive lounge area for bloggers called the LFW Apartment. This cozy apartment on the 27th floor made for the perfect space to unwind, enjoy the breath-taking view, post some live updates and get a gorgeous makeover done, courtesy Bedhead TIGI and Lakme. More details about the apartment will be presented in one of our upcoming posts.
When in doubt, I always opt for a jacket or blazer in bright colours or pretty prints. It can spruce up any outfit. The asymmetrical skirt in this outfit is a favorite, especially because of its color and fit. Don't miss the earrings in the form of a leopard's nail. Such quirky elements in an otherwise simple outfit can turn out to be a head turner.
While most people weren't too happy with the change in venue, I enjoyed my Lakme Fashion Week experience at the Palladium. Though there is no doubt that Grand Hyatt served as the perfect host all these years, the hospitality and warmth of the staff at Palladium Hotel also deserves a mention. They were extremely co-operative and were always around to guide people from the MSA to the Jabong stage or Source. I absolutely love the vintage feel that this hotel offers and yes, travelling was also easier for South Mumbaikars like me.
