Though the idea of getting a tan is not really my thing, I love walking around, soaking in the sun, gorging on local delicacies and capturing picturesque moments. While packing my bag for such sunny trips, I always make sure that I pack 5 essentials - Dresses, shorts, lots of comfortable tees, swim wear (or a monokini, as you like) and a hat. The new addition to my essentials is a romper, which is super comfortable for a relaxed day, reserved for long strolls on the beach. Head to Forever 21 if you are looking for floral or striped rompers in less than Rs 1500. I picked up a few during my last visit and got a great discount.





Coming back to the Konkan tour, it sure was a great one. While the virgin beaches and temples of Ratnagiri kept me hooked on, my time in Goa was spent lazying around at the stunning new boutique hotel - Acron Waterfront Resort. You can see a few glimpses of the breath taking view in this post. I wore this outfit to the Easter Sunday brunch that was organised on the second day of our stay. Good food, a summer happy outfit, fabulous music and great company in the form of my team member and a super sweet hotel staff; what more can anyone ask for?

Situated on the banks of the picturesque Baga river and just a few minutes away from the party scenes of Baga and Anjuna, Acron Waterfront Resort is a beautiful property that consists of 29 villa style rooms. Early this month, I was invited by the wonderful folks to spend my Holiday in Goa at Acron and well, I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. It was everything that I wanted this holiday to be and guess what? Since I missed the event held during the Nailathon in January, I made up my mind to not miss the pampering session organised for us at the Juice salon and nail bar by the folks at LYN last month. While we got a chance to try the relaxing mani-pedi and then, choose from an array of nail colors to experiment with some nail art, we also decided to sample some of their other shades and review it for you.

What it promises: The Live Your Now team has worked closely with an expert formulator based in France to create a revolutionary high defination nail lacquer that promises to give you nothing less than pure color perfection. These lacquers have been formulated with pigments that reveal their true brightness and vividness for ultimate wear. LYN salon quality nail lacquers glide on like satin, dries fast and are available in 100 gorgeous shades!

 Texture: Very smooth. True to its word, it does glide on quite smoothly.

Application: The nail enamel pot's brush is a fine, sturdy one, which makes the application hassle free and holds enough nail paint without dripping.

Our experience: LYN spoils you for choice when it comes to selecting a shade. During my first experience at the event, we had the option of choosing from the available nail art designs or flipping through the additional options from their catalog on the iPad. After selecting a combination of pink and gold, the base coat was used, which is a good product for its price. Next, the nail enamel was used and I must say, the application was very smooth. The first coat itself had a satiny finish and needless to say, the second coat brought out the true color of the enamel beautifully. In the end, the top coat ensures a glossy finish and makes sure the color holds on for long. The same happened during our second and third trial at home. In case you are experimenting with multiple colors (or nail art), beware, as drying your nails might require more time. Otherwise, two coats of a single nail color dries off quite quickly. During all the three trials, the color lasted for 5-7 days.

What works:  - Since LYN falls into the same category as other leading nail enamel brands, we like the pricing. It is the same amount that you will pay for the Lakme Gel Stylist or Revlon Parfumerie range. And for the kind of variety that you get, LYN definitely has an upper hand

- The texture is definitely our favorite pro of this item

- Apart from colors, you also have tons of metallic and shimmer options to choose from

-  Both of Base Coat and Top Coat do their job well; the Top Coat a little more.

What doesn't: - Right now, the availability is a tiny issue. LYN Nail Enamel is available at Juice salon outlets and on e-commerce sites like Purplle.com and Nykaa.com.

Verdict: If you are looking at experimenting with new shades, trying a different color everyday or are just plain bored with the ones available in the market, we suggest you give LYN nail enamel a shot! Highly recommended for its variety, finish and brilliant texture. With tempting colors like Evagreen, No Morning Blues, and sexy shimmers like Mauve The Merrier; you will definitely want to buy em all!

It feels so good to be back to business and typing posts at break neck speed again (well, almost). Most of you already know that the last fortnight of March was nothing less than a nightmare for me. At a time when I was working on Anniversary specials, contests and other surprises scheduled for March 23 (plus truckloads of work), one incident ruined it all, including my health. Well, for those who came late, I met with a horrific road accident while traveling for an event and ended up with several painful bruises and injuries (which you will notice in this post, especially on my face and hands). Thankfully, the almighty god was there to protect us and blessed us all with his divine grace.

 Though I was advised to stay away from typing, walking and of course, traveling too much for 15 days, I had to immediately get back to work due to commitments the very next day. But, as soon as the weekend work wrapped up, I had ice packs, hot bags, all kinds of bandages and medicines waiting for me at home. Thanks to all these restrictions (and drowsy medicines), work got slow and other Team Dancebee members took charge for sometime. But being a person who doesn't give up too easily, I got back to work within a week and slowly, I have started editing, typing and traveling too. And all this because of the love that you, the readers, keep showering upon me and our baby - Diary of a Dancebee.

Most of us have got a skincare regime for both day and night. We take good care of our face and neck area. In addition, we make sure that key areas like eyes and lips are well moisturized with the use of an eye cream or lip balm. But, have you ever wondered which is the most ignored part of our face? We do flutter these beauties with pride and even give them a 3D or high definition effect with all kinds of Mascaras. Yes! We are talking about - Eyelashes. While we do have castor oil as an option that can nourish our lashes, but it leaves your eyelashes feeling all sticky and that is not something that you would not want before sleeping. So, we came across an interesting product by Inglot, an eyelash serum, that promises to take care of your lashes.

Our Experience:

We tested this product for a week and the experience so far has been quite good. Since I am obsessed with all kinds of eye make up products, I knew that the regular application of different Mascaras are doing enough damage to my lashes. Thankfully, after using this the Inglot serum for a week, my lashes feel nourished and soft. To witness the eyelash growth, we will have to wait for 3 to 4 weeks (even the product says so). The best part about the Inglot Eyelash Serum is that it does not give you any sticky or irritating feeling. You can also apply this product as a transparent mascara or brow gel. It works quite well.

What works: We love how it works as a multitasking product, as it can also double up as a transparent mascara or brow gel.

What doesn't: The product is flawless, but we wish it was a little easy on the pocket.

Verdict: This is definitely a must try! For those looking at taking good care of their lashes and helping them grow, we guess this product will work wonders. Though it costs Rs 1100, we think its not that bad an investment. This product has now become an essential part of my everyday beauty regime, the most important after my lip balm, of course.
