Sidharth Malhotra Interview
A Superstar In Action | Sidharth Malhotra (Interview Part I)
Suave, smart, supremely fit and witty; Sidharth Malhotra is the perfect choice for a film that goes by the name - A Gentleman, for the actor is indeed a thorough gentleman. I have seen some glimpses of his courteousness during the promotions of his upcoming film. When we travelled to Mehboob (which he jokingly referred to as his second home during promotions) for our interview, we noticed how the actor would patiently pose for images in between interactions. In fact, it was also nice to see him respectfully stand up, shake hands and greet veteran media persons, photographers. That's a rare sight in the busy world of race, glamour and competition that we live in. But, that's Sidharth Malhotra for you - real, honest and extremely chilled out!
Today, for someone who could easily be India's answer to James Bond, the actor has come a long way since his debut in 2012. Be it gaining weight for his avatar as an MMA wrestler in Brothers or going for a simple, boy next door look in Hasee Toh Phasee; Sidharth is among the league of professional actors who don't shy away from giving their 100 percent to a role. He may have seen his share of ups and downs, but he is all set to conquer the future. In just 5 years, it's remarkable to see the actor make a mark with some diverse performances - ranging from a student to a ruthless gangster, wrestler and even a man who ages through the course of a two hour film. This week, Sidharth is all set to display his acting prowess in a dual avatar, that is a mix of susheel and risky. On a sunny afternoon (a surprise in between the on and off Mumbai rains), we caught up with A Gentleman aka Sidharth Malhotra. The actor (dressed in a stylish French Connection print shirt and relaxed Gas cargos) was all ears for our questions. Oh, and he was visibly excited for the fan Qs. Excerpts from our sundar, susheel and risky Two Part interaction:
A Gentleman is the first film where you had the challenge of portraying two characters. What was that experience like?
It was an interesting experience. This is not your usual double role film, jahan do bhai hain. Here, the entire film does not revolve around the double role element. Also, if you notice, the film is called 'A Gentleman' and not 'Two Gentleman' or something. That's for a reason (smiles). So, the film has a nice twist.
How would you describe Gaurav and Rishi's respective worlds?
Both the characters come from two completely different worlds. Gaurav is an NRI, who stays in Miami. He has set goals and dreams, someone who wants a 9 to 5 job, a perfect family. He buys a big house for them, gets a big van for the future kids and would also like to cook for his wife. The only thing he doesn't have is - a wife (laughs). On the other side, there is Rishi, who is more aggressive. He is stylish and likes to cruise around on his bike, with a leather jacket on. But inwardly, Rishi is a loner, and isn't too happy with his job. So, both of them have distinct characteristics.
Personally, was there any kind of relatability with either Gaurav or Rishi?
It's extremely difficult to relate, actually. Because Gaurav has some really typical and weird dreams. Honestly, I have never seen anybody who is so obsessed with getting married or settling down. You know, he is the kind of guy who will meet a girl for the first time, take her out and even propose to her on the same day. So, I honestly couldn't relate to that. As for Rishi, he is too aggressive for me. But nonetheless, what I like about the two characters is the fact that they have a good balance of humour and action. So, a lot of humour comes from Gaurav, while Rishi is all about action.
Wasn't the film initially called Reload? What led to the change in title?
That was actually a working title for an action film. During the process, we kept thinking about other options. However, by the last leg of shoot, we realised that since Gaurav (one of the characters played by him) is a very nice guy, we decided to call it - A Gentleman. Gaurav is a thorough gentleman. Later, the 'Risky' part was added for Rishi.
From the promos, one can notice that the action in this film is a breakaway from the kind of stuff you have done in the past, be it in Brothers or Ek Villain.
You know, when it comes to making an action film, things get very difficult. Especially with keeping the budgets in place and ensuring the presentation is different. So, the action in this film is thrilling, with a lot of hand to hand action combat. It's all very real. There is no heavy CGI involved. We kept it real, but still got the same effect and kept it very slick and stylish.
Are you keen on exploring the action genre a little more in the future, especially since a majority of the audience and fans have loved your work in this space?
Personally, I love this (action) genre. I absolutely love the zone where there is a lot of thrill and action involved. I grew up watching action movies, and loved the James Bond series. Sadly, we don't make out and out stylized action films in India anymore. Even the kind of films that Bachchan sir (Amitabh Bachchan) or Dharmendraji used to do in the 70s - 80s. But, I feel fortunate that I came across this film and now that I have enjoyed it so much, I feel consciously, I will try to do a film that does this kind of action, maybe once in every two years. And if all goes well, which I am really hoping it does, we might even make this (A Gentleman) an interesting franchise.
Fan Questions
Hey Nick and Utkarsha, I feel Raj & DK are very unique film makers. Especially because of their background. They were engineers in America. And they often call themselves - an audience turned directors. They have always loved Hindi and films from down South. Then, they went on to become directors. They started off with 99, went on to experiment with the zombie space in Go Goa Gone and now, they have worked on A Gentleman. And I feel the uniqueness shows in their work. They don't do anything typical and have a fresh take. Their quirky, humorous writing is the biggest USP. In this film they have brilliantly mixed their quirky style with a dash of commercial entertainment. So, I have enjoyed working with them. A Gentleman pretty much has all the ingredients of a mainstream Hindi film. The right mix of comedy, emotion, drama, action, romance among others and plus, a double role angle for me as well. Hopefully, the audience will enjoy the two hour roller coaster ride.
Aishwarya, I really enjoyed playing Rishi. The character is stylish and has got a heroic side to him. Also, there is a lot of action going on when he appears on screen (smiles).
Dekha, do picturon mein kya hota hain (laughs). Bhabhi se sweetheart, aur yeh hain hindi picture ka kamaal (laughs). So, coming back to your question, Rita. During Brothers, the only time I got a chance to interact with Jacqueline was during promotions. And we hardly any scene together in the film. So, I got to know her really during the film. We shot the film in various locations including Mumbai, Miami, Hong Kong, Goa among others throughout the year. She is a fabulous co-star and doesn't need any ice breaker. She is always happy and doesn't allow the stress or burden of her previous work to get on to her. I have never seen her in a dull mood, and that helps. It's always nice to have someone positive around. I admire the fact that she is a self made person and works really hard.
Was there the 'health' connection too, since both of you are a lot into fitness and experimenting with exercise routines?
Oh yes! She is extremely fit and so, we would often bond over fitness. In fact, we would also bond over a lot of other activities. Like, during our Mumbai schedule, she used to talk a lot about horse-riding. One day, I told her ki meri bhi chutti hain, toh main bhi aa raha hoon. She actually called me up at 5:30 am and we were also joined by a friend. We went to Racecourse (Mahalaxmi) and enjoyed the experience of taking horse-riding lessons.
Part II of this Interview will be out on Wednesday (Aug 23). Stay tuned!

Best of 2016 | Top Bollywood Red Carpet Looks
2016 saw some of the best red carpet moments and incredible looks sported by Bollywood's leading ladies. Right from Priyanka Chopra's most Googled outfit to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's head turning vintage look at Cannes, we've got many reasons to laud our gorgeous female actors for their sartorial choices. And of course, full credit goes to their personal stylists and designers as well. Here's a round up of the best Bollywood red carpet looks from 2016. Is your favourite on the list?
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Where? Cannes 2016
Wearing - Elie Saab
The queen of hearts wowed us with her effortless glam look at the Cannes earlier this year. While her 'lilac lips' stole the show during a later outing, it was this look that won several hearts. We absolutely swear by the stunning combination of a champagne gold outfit with deep wine lips.
Anushka Sharma
Where? Lux Golden Rose Awards 2016
Wearing - Shehlaa Khan
The actress made few appearances on the red carpet this year. But, we loved how charming she looked in this Shehlaa Khan number at an award function last month. That thigh-high slit looks hot and she carried off this look quite well.
Deepika Padukone
Where? IIFA 2016 and MTV EMAs 2016
Wearing - Picture One: Anamika Khanna
Picture Two: Prabal Gurung
Picture Three: Monisha Jaising
Every time Deepika makes a red carpet appearance, we can spot fans on social media waiting with bated breath! Over time, the actress has wowed us with multiple best dressed looks and this year too, Deepika Padukone slayed it in style! Some of our favourites include the red hot look in Prabal Gurung at the IIFA press conference, the glam diva look in Anamika Khanna at the IIFA Awards and of course, the much talked about custom Monisha Jaising look at her MTV EMAs debut. We thought the latter was quite a risky, edgy look to pull off and DP did complete justice.
Jacqueline Fernandez
Where? TOIFA 2016
Wearing - Rami Kadi
Jacqueline is quite a style diva and we all swear by her 'Behind The Scene' videos on Snapchat. Among her popular looks this year, this one definitely stood out. The actress looked straight out of a princess tale, and rocked this Rami Kadi gown like with minimal make up and accessories.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Where? Lux Golden Rose Awards 2016 and TOIFA 2016
Wearing - Picture One: Gauri and Nainika
Picture Two: Monisha Jaising
From her boss girl avatar in Ki & Ka to slaying it as the most stylish mommy to-be throughout her pregnancy, Kareena Kapoor Khan has been in the news for all the right reasons. While she kicked off the year with a svelte avatar at TOIFA, she looked her best in the second half of 2016. The then glowing mommy to-be rocked her baby bump in beautiful outfits, and one of our favourites has got to be his Gauri and Nainika number at an award function last month.
Katrina Kaif
Where? Lux Golden Rose Awards 2016 and Vogue Beauty Awards 2016
Wearing - Picture One: Ziad Nakad
Picture Two: Romona Keveza
She clearly rocked with her washboard abs in Kala Chashma, and super hot avatar in Baar Baar Dekho. Off screen too, Katrina Kaif got her A-game on and rocked some stylish looks on the red carpet. At an event earlier this year, she stunned in a Romona Keveza outfit, that complimented her hot bod. We equally loved her elegant appearance at an award function in November, where she picked an emerald green Ziad Nakad dress. She opted for a natural, minimal make up look for both the appearances, and this was pretty much her pick for almost all looks in 2016.
Priyanka Chopra
Where? Oscars 2016 and Emmys 2016
Wearing - Picture One: Zuhair Murad
Picture Two: Jason Wu
Clearly, one of 2016's best dressed moments! Our very own desi girl gone global Priyanka Chopra made everyone proud, when she was invited to present an Oscar earlier this year. She looked every inch a stunner in this much talked about Zuhair Murad outfit, which was announced as the 'most googled outfit' earlier this month. Her global domination continued, as she made a gorgeous appearance at the Emmys, looking ethereal in a red Jason Wu outfit.
Sonakshi Sinha
Where? IIFA 2016
Wearing - Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla
While Sonakshi hasn't made too many red carpet appearances, we loved some of her street style and film promotion looks (especially for Force 2). But, we particularly loved this adorable outing in Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla at an award function in Madrid, where our very own Sona looked like a new-age princess, minus the long gown.
Sonam Kapoor
Where? Cannes 2016 (Red Carpet, AmFar and Chopard party)
Wearing - All pics: Ralph and Russo
No doubt Sonam is one of the best dressed female actors of Bollywood, and she has always managed to get her A-game on to the red carpet with her impeccable choices. This year, Sonam turns several heads with her effortlessly stylish looks at Cannes. Interestingly, all our favourite looks had the actress wearing Ralph & Russo. From a stunning sari inspired gown to a princess moment with jhumkas and going vintage glam in black; Sonam killed it and proved why she will always be our favourite fashion diva!

Beauty Talks with Jacqueline Fernandez | Exclusive Interview
We have always been a fan of actress Jacqueline Fernandez' luscious locks and flawless skin. And her association with one of our favourite beauty brands - The Body Shop, is like an icing on the cake. She is the perfect ambassador for promoting skincare products with a cause. Her no-make up selfies and glowing skin has always been the subject of conversations. So, if her Instagram posts don't inspire you to take of your skin immediately, we don't know what will!
Post an event (where she was spotted launching the all new Spas of the World and Oils of Life range by The Body Shop), we caught up with Jacqueline for an exclusive chat on all things skincare. Dressed in a canary yellow matching separates by Be The Circus and stunning Louboutins, Jacqueline was being her usual self - enthusiastic, energetic and ever - so - happy. After a quick chat on our favourite products by The Body Shop (Yes! We both love the Fuji Green Tea range), we settled down to decode her beauty secrets. Excerpts from a fun conversation:

What's your favourite product from the latest range by The Body Shop?
Ah! It is very difficult for me to choose just one, because I have been using a lot stuff by The Body Shop and have become very fond of some products. Every time a new range is launched, I test almost every single product. There is something amazing for each season, with different fragrances and ingredients. I love the fact that they keep introducing new stuff almost once every month. Right now, I am loving the creams, which have an incredible texture and are perfect for winter. Once you use any cream by The Body Shop, it is very difficult to move on to anything else. Also, my current favourite is the Oils of Life range, and I particularly like the Facial Oil (read our review here) which is perfect for winters.
What's that one beauty mantra that you swear by?
Indulge in hair spas, or best, ensure that you oil your hair regularly. Go for a facial steam. Also, I have always found facial massages very useful. One won't really pay attention to something like this, but as a kid, I would always watch my Mom massaging her skin well while moisturising. And now, we also have facial massagers that can be used with your regular cream or oil. I think it's a very important element that needs to be included in our daily skincare regime, as it helps in more elasticity and keeps your skin feeling smooth.
And your personal beauty mantra for winters?
Moisturise, moisturise and moisturise. Ensure your skin is well hydrated!
Was there any particular product or skincare regime that you loved while growing up in Sri Lanka?
Nothing particular as such, because both India and Sri Lanka are like sister countries and we pretty much share the same ideals when it comes to beauty, especially the ingredients. We are very big on the properties of coconut, so we do use it a lot for skin and hair care. Also, we use a lot of natural ingredients, especially from exotic fruits, just like India. Plus, consuming them does help in maintaining good skin and hair.
What was the first beauty product that you remember using?
I think it was one of my mom's creams. So, I used it for moisturising. That is one thing I clearly remember. Every time I used to see my Mom getting ready for work, she would be moisturising her skin well. She would always see it to that her skin felt good. So, I guess that is one thing I took from her. No matter how much time it takes, I always make sure that I moisturise my skin well everyday. I am really huge on creams and anything that makes your skin smell and feel good. Also, that is one reason why The Body Shop's upcoming Spas of the World range is amazing. The ingredients leave your skin feeling smooth and supple. It's like pampering yourself at home.

| Jacqueline Fernandez at the launch of The Body Shop's new range |
So, do you follow a regular skincare routine?
Yeah, I do. And I think CTM (Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising) is extremely important. Also, I never go to bed with my make up on. That's a huge no-no. I always use a good make up remover, which is easy on the eyes. Also, a good cleanser is essential. I use the Vitamin E cleanser by The Body Shop, which makes my skin feel squeaky clean after a long day. I also use toners and moisturisers. But now, I have also included the facial oil in my daily skin routine. The skin needs to feel hydrated, supple during winter and the facial oil leaves my skin feeling just that.
Do you think fitness plays a major role in the way your skin looks?
Absolutely! Exercising regularly takes good care of your skin from within. The minute you have good skin, half your battle is won, as you will require less covering up. Just a little bit of enhancements on the eyes, lips and you are done. So, taking good care of your skin is extremely important, with the right amount of sleep, good diet, exercise and the right products.
What are favourite your make up essentials?
I allow my skin to breathe as much as possible. Even at home, there's no make up at all. But, I always ensure that I am wearing sunscreen. But, when I step out, some of my essentials include a good concealer, BB cream that can both moisturise and provide decent coverage, a nice primer to smoothen out your skin. More than that, it depends. If I feel like making my eyes pop, I go for lots of mascara or if the lips, then bold lipsticks. But my most favourite make up item has to be a Blush. Using a blush is very important! That is definitely my essential.

I don't believe in the luck factor - Jacqueline Fernandez | Exclusive Interview
Jacqueline Fernandez is on a roll, and there is no looking back for the actress, who is busy working with the best of directors and male actors in her upcoming projects. From winning hearts with her gorgeous avatar in Kick, to getting appreciation for her double role in Roy; Jacqueline has entered the big league with great style. The birthday girl, who enters a new phase in life today as she turns 30, is quite excited about her next release, Brothers, which hits the screens this week. Despite back-to-back promotions and city tours, the actress looked radiant and calm, and admitted that although the schedule is crazy, she is loving every moment of it. We caught up with Jacqueline for a late morning chat at the Dharma office last week, where apart from discussing beauty and green tea (Yes! We couldn't stop talking about The Body Shop's Fuji Green Tea scrub), we spoke to her about films, brand endorsements, life as an actor and more.
You are one of the most sought after female actors in the industry today. How does that feel?
It’s like a blessing in disguise. Being in the Top 3 or even in the Top 10 is a huge thing, because I have worked very hard to reach where I am today. Now, it’s time to work harder and achieve many more things.
You have two back-to-back releases, with Bangistan and Brothers. How excited or nervous are you?
I don't get pressurised or feel nervous anymore. I used to, a few years back. When Aladdin and Na Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hain released, I was very nervous. But then, I realised that there is no point in feeling the pressure, because the film will eventually release and perform the way it has to. As an actor, you have done what you have to. In fact, I am very excited about these two films, as they are both different and give out a message. The very fact that I am a part of such films keeps me happy. I am a harsh critic of myself, so I learn from my mistakes, soak in the experiences and then, move on to new projects. Plus, Bangistan was more like a special appearance.
What’s your character in the film Brothers like?
Brothers is a very special film, especially because this is my first Dharma film. I didn't think this would be the kind of Dharma film that would be my debut, as my role is very different and is something that I haven’t tried before. I play Jenny Fernandez, who is the wife of David Fernandez (Akshay Kumar). In fact, I would keep telling Akshay that you guys are ankle Fernandez, and I am the asli one (laughs). Well, in the film, ours is a happy family and we have a six-year-old daughter. All of a sudden, our daughter becomes very ill and we don’t have enough many to pay for her treatment. That’s where things take a turn. You will have to watch the film to know more (smiles). Jenny is definitely one of my most challenging roles till date and Karan (Malhotra) helped me a lot with understanding my character. He is very strong and strict. He made us do a lot of retakes, until I got the emotions and expressions right in a scene.
How was it working with Akshay Kumar, after Housefull 2, although the two of you were not paired together in the film?
Yeah, Brothers is the first time I have worked opposite Akshay. I have always known and seen Akshay in comedy films, and even Housefull was like that. But in Brothers, he is all serious, which I was not used to. In most parts of the film, I am all sad and crying. Both of us are with our child and its a serious situation. But, Akshay has a great disconnect. He can be all serious and emotional in a character, and the moment you say ‘Cut’, he will be back to “Hey! Kya haal hain? Bhook lagi hain yaar.” So, that was a great learning experience for me. On days when I have heavy scenes to film, where I am all emotional and crying, thinking “Glycerin lagana hain, rona hain,” I would feel exhausted. I used to go back home with a headache and feel very heavy, drained out the entire day. The same happened even during the dubbing. But Akshay is a pro at it! He has an amazing energy and just like other superstars, he approaches every film like its his first. At least, that's the feeling that I get. He wakes up early, never gets tired, and fits in a hundred things in one single day. There is so much to learn from him.
Any memorable incident while you were shooting for the film?
Many! But we had great fun filming the climax. It was shot over a period of 50 days and all I had to do was stand in the crowd, with a placard bearing David's name. That's what I kept doing over and over again (laughs). During one shot, Akshay changed the placard and gave me the one bearing Monty's (Sidharth Malhotra) name. It took some time for me to realise that I was holding the wrong placard and ultimately, I had to get the right one and shoot the scene again. It was fun! There were these little, fun pranks that kept happening, turning the otherwise emotional atmosphere into a fun-loving, light hearted one. Its like a good relief for the entire cast and crew in between gruelling schedules.
Were you comfortable playing a mother at an early stage of your career?
Absolutely! In the end, I am an actress and in this profession, one has to show the kind of range they have got. You have to be able to tap into different kinds of roles and genres. If you keep doing the same kind of roles, over and over again, then what is the joy of being an actor? Honestly, I was thinking the same thing and was a little skeptical. Questions like - “Should I play a mother? What will happen to my career? Will this jeopardise anything? Will this set something in the audience’s perception?” - kept popping up in my mind. But, when you actually take on these roles, the beauty of it is the fact that you can show the audience your versatility. Like I play a mother in Brothers, but in Dishoom, I turn into this cool tomboy and then in Flying Jat, I turn into this fun dancer. So its fun to show different avatars of yourself in films and that’s what keeps it interesting for me as an actor. When you look at your portfolio, it feels amazing to know that one has done this, that and everything.
You have always taken the versatile route, opting for different characters and genres. But as an actor, how easy or difficult is it for you to disconnect from one character and step into another one, almost around the same time?
Earlier, I used to think that an actor can just snap in, snap out and its not a big deal. But honestly, it is very difficult. Like in Dishoom, my character is rebellious and a complete spoilt brat. She is this girl on the run, who is extremely blunt and not afraid of anything. When I started working on Dishoom after Brothers, where I was playing a mother with a sick child, it wasn't easy. I kept telling myself - Okay! I need to get out of my old avatar and do this. Then after shooting a few days for Dishoom, I started filming Flying Jat the very next day, where I had to be all bubbly and cute (laughs). I was like, “Oh my God! I need to get out of my rebellious side and be sweet here.” So, it does take time, but the constant practice of it has helped me a lot. An actor has to act, right? They are themselves behind the camera, but the moment they hear the word ‘Action’, you need to get rid of everything and become one with your character. Also, I have been able to work with different directors, actors and step into different characters with them, which helps.
During an earlier interview, Akshay stated that luck plays a major role, almost 65 per cent, in an actor's life. Do you believe in luck?
Nope! I believe that one has to work hard towards creating their own luck. I don't believe solely in the luck factor. I think that if one is not successful, then that person is not doing something right. The people who are in the top league have done everything to get there and a lot of hard work goes into this. One has to push themselves, sacrifice their sleep, and prove themselves to be noticed and reach on top. I personally don't believe that luck has anything to do with it.
What is it that you keep in mind before you come on board to endorse a brand or a certain range of products? For e.g you have always stood by the ethics of the brand, The Body Shop, which you are currently endorsing.
Honestly, I believe in taking things on, keeping in mind that I actually own the brand and use the product. That is extremely important, because I don't believe in selling anything to the public, which I don't use myself. So before I come on board, I always do a background research on the brand, because I am always very active with my brands. I like to get involved in activities, try things on and promote it. So, I won't promote something that I don't feel is right. With Puma, our idea of fitness matches well. The Body Shop is more than just a brand, as their products promote a lot of environmental wellbeing, and support causes like cruelty against animals, environmental awareness, community trade ingredients among others. All these things matter a lot, because its a responsibility. I don't want to be in a situation where I come to know that my brand has deceived the public. I will never represent such a brand. I will always endorse something that is known for its quality.
Tell us about the latest Fuji Green Tea range by The Body Shop, that you recently launched.
Oh! I am loving it. I am a huge fan of green tea and I drink it everyday. So, when I was told that I can also apply it on my body, I got so excited and was like - "Yay! I have got green tea for my skincare too." (laughs)
Which projects are you currently working on?
I am working on two films. I started shooting for Dishoom in July, which stars John Abraham and Varun Dhawan. Around the same time, I also started filming Flying Jat, where I am paired opposite Tiger Shroff. Next month, I will start shooting for Housefull 3 with Akshay Kumar. So, these 3 films will keep me busy this year

The Red Musk
Review | The Red Musk perfume - The Body Shop
There are conventional perfumes, with those typical notes that range from sweet to flowery and citrus. And then there is The Red Musk eau de parfum by The Body Shop, that defies all the quintessential fragrances and conventions. Even actress Jacqueline Fernandez swears by it. We got our hands on this sexy little bottle and after testing the product for almost a fortnight, we can safely say that this is one perfume that can add some 'spice' to your overall personality. Wanna know why? Read on.
1. Long Lasting
Anyone investing in a good perfume would obviously want to know how long the product will last. Maybe that's why, you will notice how several people hunting for the right perfume roam around with those white test strips in one hand, waiting for the perfume to settle down and reveal its 'lasting' result. Thankfully, The Red Musk, with its strong fragrance, lasts for a good number of hours, without changing its base notes.
2. Unconventional Aroma
The Red Musk is not your typical musky, super strong perfume. Its a unique fragrance that blends musk with spices. Unlike the sweet perfumes or those with strong notes of musk, this fragrance does not overpower. Instead, it leaves a lovely warm aroma, which is quite different from the rest.
3. Cruelty Free
We can't stop loving The Body Shop for this one aspect. All their products are cruelty free. We love everything that is not tested on animals, because everyone at Team Diary of a Dancebee loves our furry friends. And continuing the tradition, The Red Musk eau de parfum contains cruelty free musk, which is man-made and does not follow the perfume industry's norm of using the standard ingredient gathered from a deer (Say No to animal cruelty).
4. Spicy Ingredients
Ever heard of a perfume (that too cruelty free) which blends musk with hot spices like cinnamon, pepper and a hint of tobacco (don't eat it, spray it)? Yes, you read that right. The perfume includes notes blended with the sensuous musk that includes pepper at the top, cinnamon at the heart and tobacco accord dry down. Maybe that's why the brand challenged its consumers to 'Handle the Scandal'. After all, how many perfumes without flowery notes do we actually have?
5. Pricing and Availability
Sometimes, too many options can spoil the party and leave you confused. So, if you are quite sure about picking up a androgynous fragrance without any hint of flowers, then all you have to do is head straight to The Body Shop outlet or order it online from their official website. The bottle, another sexy aspect, comes in 60ml priced at Rs 2995, which is quite easy on the pocket, when compared to similar perfumes available in the market.
Verdict: Take the unconventional route and get 'spiced up' with this hot, musky perfume by The Body Shop. With Holi and Gudi Padwa coming up, this also makes for a perfect gift for your special someone. PS: This is a unisex perfume, so your partner can use it without any guilt *wink*
