New Store in Mumbai - Vinegar

Yesterday I attended my first store launch in Mumbai! It was fun. The store in question is 'Vinegar'. Yes! Vinegar fashion and styling studio (Bandra) has now shifted to Khar, with a fresh, new look and a new name, Vinegar Fashion India. It also has a new collection and a tagline that is bold and fun.Varsha Bhawnani was seen having fun with 'Vinegar' fan Bipasha Basu. Also seen were Anusha Dandekar and Anushka Manchanda picking up their favourites from the collection.

Well, coming back to the collection! It's quirky and fresh. As it's the summer collection, they had lots of apparel in Tangerine, Cobalt Blue, White, Lime Green among others. Items in the store range from Rs.600 to 4000. I noticed that some things were affordable which makes it a win-win combo
(Something you like + Affordable is always a plus point, no?). Let's take a look at some pictures that I clicked last evening (Got tons of piccies, but will put up pictures of items that I really liked)

This was the first thing that caught my eye! Have fallen in love with this jacket already. It goes well with that White shirt and is perfectly accessorized. This jacket definitely tops my wish list right now.

Next up, the accessories! They have tons of neck pieces, bracelets, bangles, belts etc to choose from. I liked the bangles and a couple of neck pieces were quirky. Also, they have a variety of accessories in different styles - Gold, Bright colors, Ethnic designs etc. A lot of their accessories were inspired by tribal designs as well. I particularly love this wooden bangle in Picture (2).

Another piece that caught my eye. This bag looks lovely! The ethnic charm of this bag can lift up any boring piece of apparel. It's colorful, bright, quirky and totally me! Will head to the store again to buy this one.

Tangerine is the colour of 2012 and at Vinegar, you will find lots of apparel that have hints of this shade. The fabrics used in their apparel is perfect for Summer. Plus, the colors have the power to brighten up your day. Totally worth it!

Lastly, we saw three beautiful women, Bipasha, Anusha and Anushka, at the press conference with Varsha Bhawnani, who was happy with her collection getting accolades from everyone (Unfortunately, her smile is missing from this picture).

The store does live up to all the expectations. It has some good stuff, good availability of sizes and some really beautiful accessories. Some items were a bit steep, but the ones I liked were quite affordable. The ambience of the store is really good and they have some really bold tag lines, with the main one being 'Crazy is a Woman'. Indeed, every woman has a crazy side to her!
As the store is situated on the busy 13th road at Khar, it will have it's own audience, who will keep coming back for more.

So, the next time you are in Bandra, drop by at Vinegar for a 'quirky' shopping experience.

Whoop! Before leaving, this poster near the Cash counter caught my eye.
What's your take on their campaign fellas? Do share your opinions!

  2. Thank you :) Post? Haha, this is the only picture I have from the launch. Unfortuanely, I couldn't catch hold of anyone who could click a picture. Then I tried clicking my own pics (which ended up as a disaster) and finally, one of their PR managers clicked this one (And you can see the result, I had to perk it up).
But, I wore a lime green cardigan with a White asymmetrical top, Jeggings and A ghungroo neckpiece (Along with a lime green stone ring).
